This beautiful waterfront property offers direct sunset views, lush tropical surroundings, and an elegant, distinctive building that can become an integral part of the wedding design.

As an Islamorada wedding planner, one of the things I love most about Pierre’s is its versatility. I often describe the property as a blank canvas because it gives us so much flexibility to create a wedding that truly reflects each couple's personality and vision.

Planning Diandra and Drew’s Destination Wedding in Islamorada

Diandra and Drew planned their Islamorada destination wedding with us all the way from New York. Throughout the planning process, we worked together to create a celebration that combined their love of travel, exceptional food, live entertainment, and beautiful design.

The couple stayed at Cheeca Lodge and chose to have their first look and immediate family portraits in the privacy of the Casitas area. It was a wonderful way to enjoy those special moments before the celebrations began.

We also made time for portraits on the second-floor balcony at Pierre’s and in front of the building's beautiful facade, two of my favorite photo locations at the venue.

Before the guests arrived, we gave Diandra and Drew a few quiet minutes to see their completed reception space and take it all in. I always love creating these little moments for my couples. After months of planning, there's something very special about seeing everything come together before the celebration officially begins.

An Elegant Waterfront Wedding with Tropical Details

For their wedding design, Diandra and Drew envisioned an outdoor celebration that incorporated the classic elegance of a ballroom wedding while embracing the tropical character of Islamorada.

We brought that vision to life with a beautiful combination of romantic florals, soft colors, elegant draping, and carefully selected details. Birds of paradise were incorporated throughout the floral arrangements, adding a distinctive tropical element to the otherwise classic design.

Working alongside the talented team at Delsy and Co., we transformed the reception tent with delicate draping, a customized dance floor, and a suspended floral installation that became one of the focal points of the evening.

The result was a beautiful balance of sophisticated ballroom-inspired design and the relaxed waterfront atmosphere that makes weddings at Pierre’s at Morada Bay so special.

A Wedding Experience Centered Around Food and Entertainment

Diandra and Drew are avid world travelers and food lovers, so creating an exceptional culinary experience for their guests was an important part of the wedding planning process.

Rather than focusing solely on a traditional wedding menu, we incorporated a variety of food experiences throughout the evening, including a mozzarella station, a paella station, and a specialty coffee bar staffed by the experienced baristas from Aroma Espresso.

Live entertainment was another major part of their celebration. We built a dedicated stage to accommodate eleven musicians who performed throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

And the party didn't stop there! Later in the evening, guests moved into the lounge area of Pierre’s, where a DJ and live saxophonist kept the celebration going.

From the food to the music and the design, every element was thoughtfully planned to create a memorable experience for the couple and their guests.
